Eternal Silence coming to Steam

Eternal Silence is a Cinematic Multiplayer Space Mod built on the Source Engine and has been available to download and play for a while. The great news is that an immanent release via Steam with build 3.2 of the game is due shortly. Steam support for these fantastic mod teams is a great way to show off some fantastic games that would normally never be played by the vast majority.

EA gets Steamy: Loses Its DRM

Something I thought would never happen considering the EA Download Service is a competitor but EA have finally embraced the Steam platform, ditching 3rd party DRM in the process.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is US$3.79 This weekend on Steam.

In 1986, the world’s worst nuclear disaster occurred at the Chernobyl power station. Soviet authorities established a 30km ‘Exclusion Zone’ around this nuclear wasteland, but in 2006 a second explosion rocked the stricken reactor, obliterating all living things and causing the Zone’s boundaries to ripple outwards.

A great deal if you have never played the game. Source.

Steam Europe Localised currency

Australia to follow hopefully. In terms of how it will affect pricing - if at all remains to be seen. I am still waiting for Fallout 3 to drop under AU$100 via Steam.

You will need to use this link each time you wish to purchase in localised currency during the beta. Your having opted into the beta is only saved for the duration of your browser session. Pound Sterling is available only in the United Kingdom; Euros are available only in Europe.
You won’t be able to actually purchase if you manually set the store to a country/currency other than that in which you actually live.
