Matt Smith is the new Doctor

Matt Smith will be the youngest actor playing the role of the Doctor, three years younger than Peter Davison when he signed up to play the fifth Doctor in 1981.

Smith was named as Tennant’s replacement in Saturday’s edition of Doctor Who Confidential on BBC One.

He said: “I feel proud and honoured to have been given this opportunity to join a team of people that has worked so tirelessly to make the show so thrilling.

ZDNet Blogs have a promising first look at the recently released Windows 7 beta 1 (build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400)

This beta is of excellent quality. This is the kind of code that you could roll out and live with. Even the pre-betas were solid, but finally this beta feels like it’s “done.” This beta exceeds the quality of any other Microsoft OS beta that I’ve handled.

Eternal Silence coming to Steam

Eternal Silence is a Cinematic Multiplayer Space Mod built on the Source Engine and has been available to download and play for a while. The great news is that an immanent release via Steam with build 3.2 of the game is due shortly. Steam support for these fantastic mod teams is a great way to show off some fantastic games that would normally never be played by the vast majority.
